Welcome to Ever.
Ever, a deadly realm where feared, powerful and dangerous magical beings are banished. Though very large, it is not a world but a magically created prison. You can’t break through its circular boundary. Who, or what, made Ever? I’ve no idea. They were powerful, and cruel. That is all I can tell you.
Ever is like and unlike every other world. Nothing is safe. Safety is a dream. Ever is a nightmare. Few survive their first day. Nothing is what it seems. If something appears safe, it isn’t. If something appears dangerous, well it is, but probably more so than you think.
Ever has no sun, no moon, no stars at night. Time is told by the ever changing color of the sky where portals open, dropping new inhabitants, or new terrors. Time does pass. Don’t worry, you won’t get old. You won’t live that long.
The landscape changes without reason from dessert to jungles. The flora isn’t safe at any time. There is food, if you can find it without getting eaten yourself. Most plants and animals are poisonous. So is the water.
Are you afraid? You should be. This is the end. It gets worse of course. Remember the portals? Do think angels come through? Rarely the innocent do. Mostly, it is people of evil, people too powerful to kill. Their magic works here. The creatures are worse.
Do you understand? Well you will eventually, or you’ll die. There is no escaping Ever. Ever.

My life was normal. It sucked, but it was normal. At least until I got this new power. I can control fire. It would be cool if it wasn’t so dangerous and if I knew how to use it. Pretty much my sucky life took a nose dive once I got it. Yup, everything gone. I suppose I should be thankful some uncle I never heard of took me in. Turns out the whole family isn’t normal and my power is a lot more dangerous than I thought. I thought things couldn’t get any worse. I was wrong. They banished me to Ever.
If I’m lucky, I might survive my first day.

Surviving Ever may not be easy, but somehow I’m managing. So far.
Luckily I’ve made a new friend, Jadus. He’s not exactly human, but he’s teaching me how to survive here. Even though I’m tired, I’m hungry, and I miss home, he makes life bearable. Despite the not being human thing, I think I may be falling for him. Unfortunately Ever isn’t the place for romance.
Now I have to deal with a barbarian king and a crazy shape-shifting witch on top of the everyday dangers. With each day that passes, it becomes more important I learn to control my fire powers.
If I can’t I might lose everything; any hope of finding my dad, Jadus…my life.

If things keep going wrong, I think I might have a nervous breakdown. Oh wait, I did. I manage to gather my courage, or maybe stupidity, and venture into the Tall Forest. My only clue to finding my Dad lies on the other side, or so I’ve been told. Its emptiness is deceiving.
As I make my way within its darkness, I set off a trap. I might be fast, but not fast enough, and Ever has taken its toll on me. My search for Dad is put on hold when I get myself into some serious trouble. A boy and his shadow save me from certain death and come to my rescue. Or do they?
I remember all too well that most people are banished to Ever for a reason. Should I trust this Shadow Boy? After all, nothing in Ever is ever what it seems.

The Lost Tree

On the road again…oh wait, there are no roads in Ever. Well I’m getting my butt in gear setting out to find the Lost Tree. Hopefully it will give me a clue to finding my dad. I’m feeling strong and confident I can survive in Ever now, mostly.
It’s hard to be always on my toes to avoid being something’s next meal. This journey is no different.
I meet a strange old man who gives me some advice and good news. Acquiring a pet wasn’t expected either. The monsters are still keeping me running, and now they are running too. I guess the dragons have risen. Whatever that means. I imagine I’ll find out all too soon. Reaching the Lost Tree won’t be easy but I can do it. Having others return and join me in my journey doesn’t hurt either.

My quest continues to find my dad. At least I now have proof he was actually banished to Ever too. I have so many questions still unanswered. Mainly, is he still alive and where is he? I hope I can find him.
My latest clue is a place called the Hidden City. Hopefully, he’s there. Hopefully, my friends and I can find it. Ever and its crazy landscapes keep throwing obstacles in our path. Monsters are something I’m used to fighting now. I think we’ll be okay.
Our main concern is the dragons. They’ve risen…which I’m told isn’t too strange, but they are acting peculiar. Something is wrong and none of us know what. I’m afraid Ever is about to get a lot more dangerous.

The only thing that could make Ever a worse place to be trapped in has finally happened. The dragons of Ever are loose…and they’re hungry.
We’ve made it this far and I won’t give up on finding the one person who could make being here a little better. We’re so close to finding the hidden city and my dad. I know we are. I just don’t know if we’re going to make it. My friends and I are struggling. Okay, we’re getting our butts kicked. We don’t have a choice but to continue. It’s not like we can call a time out.
Then the unthinkable happens…my boys get hurt. Now I have to summon the power and the courage to save them. I just hope it will be enough and we can find my father. Will we have a happily ever after?
